Study guide

Raise your practice score by fixing the reason you missed.

More questions do not automatically create improvement. The useful work happens when you identify the exact decision that produced the wrong answer.

1. Classify every miss

Put each mistake into one category: missing knowledge, misunderstood wording, incorrect setup, calculation error, weak evidence choice, or time pressure. “Careless” is not specific enough to fix.

2. Correct the process

Redo the problem without looking at the answer. Then explain why the correct method works and why your first method failed. If you cannot explain both, the skill is not secure yet.

3. Practice a small cluster

Complete several questions that use the same skill. Stop when you can recognize the setup and perform it consistently—not when you happen to get one right.

4. Mix the skill back in

After focused practice, return to a mixed set. Real test questions do not announce which rule to use, so recognition must become part of the skill.

5. Add timing last

Speed comes from cleaner decisions. Use a timer after accuracy improves. If timing causes accuracy to collapse, shorten the set and rebuild gradually.

Do not treat a third-party practice estimate as an official or predictive score. Use it to decide what to study next.
